It's getting busy, busy, busy here at Bountee [ahem] I mean MySoti HQ at the moment. And we really don't have a lot of time today to blog.

But did someone say American Apparel?

:D

Why me?

I've been away for a while and find all kinds of things going on and see my one and only design and little old profile being used as a guinea pig for your future developments. Cool I think.

Anyway got a new shirt for sale http://www.bountee.com/productview.action?id=105471

Ta.

I just recently joined bountee, and have had designs up for just under two weeks. so I get an email saying My designs didn't get enough votes and wont be offered for sale. This is your loss.and also your fault,in that your site goes almost strictly to the crap you deem most popular. I know you are really busy so I'll just say I wont be seeing you later since you obviously dont provide the service you claim.

The last comment was my husband who signed me up for Bountee. I do not recall reading in the terms and conditions that ONLY SHIRTS WITH VOTES get sold...how would anyone find the designs to vote on them anyway, since I could never find my own designs even by a SEARCH of the TAGS, and they don't show up under ALL DESIGNS!?! Likewise what sense would it make to post designs that will not be sold unless voted on (by who?), and why even give the option of "sell this design" and "put to a vote", when either way, they may not get seen, much less sold? This is deceptive advertising, and VERY scammy. Where is the remove design button and the "cancel my subscription/account to Bountee" option? TOTAL CRAP!!! Glad I didn't recommend this service to other Inkscape users!

Hi,

First of, I am sorry that you have had a bad experience of the site - I can see from your blog posts and emails that you're very upset - and that's completely not what we are about. And this is why we are completely renovating the site; you've been on the blog so I hope that you've seen the posts because of this.

BUT I can see what has happened here; you have been sent an old version of the email which should NOT have said that the shirts aren't for sale. Because they are, and if you visit your userpage you can see them here:

http://www.bountee.com/user/l-a-baird/

It's not an excuse of course, but we have been focusing 99% on the new build hoping that it will be up to replace the unfixable pieces of code that we are currently experiencing. It appears here that you've been a victim of a bad bug - and all I can do for that is apologise.

You're right about the search being rubbish (in fact its broken) - but we've fixed this for the new MySoti site and people can still buy your shirts directly as I have said above. It's certainly not a scam though - and we don't think it's totally crap either; perhaps just a little bit turdy?

I hope that in time you'll forgive us enough to come back and see just what we can do when we build a site properly with MySoti when it launches in a couple of weeks.

So, so sorry for your troubles,

Thank you for the quick response, and I can certainly understand website/search problems, and I am a forgiving person, and haven't completely given up on Bountee (don't know how I would anyway, since there appears to be no link or info on how to unsubscribe, a "get outta Dodge" button, etc.- another needed feature), but the email, which you say was an "an old version of the email"....an oversight? Hmmm. So, it used to be your policy to remove sales of t-shirts with no votes (after a week!?!)? That IS turdy! Hope no one else got one of those old emails, and hope there are no other victims of a "bad bug"- not good for business! BTW, the widget doesn't appear to work either (on Blogger or Gaia)...even attempted to post it in HTML mode- no luck.

I realize people can see my designs or anyone else's from my/their link but until the general shopper/designer/voter can search for them and find them, they remain unseen, and therefore not voted for or purchasable.

....skeptical and annoyed, but still here at present.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE start using American Apparel tees! I'm a small guy and I can't fit well into much else, they are the best fitting t-shirts ever.

I agree, I just uploaded my first design and I think you should offer American Apparel. They are comfortable and the neck, cut and fit are perfect.

Please consider, thanks!
