Your Free (to do whatever your want)
We get a lot of emails into Customer Support like this:
I have a design I previously submitted to Threadless that was never printed, and I had it removed from the website. Would that count as previously publish, or would it be eligible for submission to Bountee?
And I just wanted to set the record straight about submissions - especially with sites like Threadless.com who take ownership of your design once they publish it.
We don't currently hold ANY restrictions as to what or where you would like to place designs - after all they are YOUR designs right? :)
The only rules you need to abide by are those that are set by these other submission sites; i.e. if Threadless haven't chosen your design and the voting limit has passed then you are welcome to add your design to your Bountee page!
This is reproduced from their terms and conditions:
Once the ninety (90) days have passed, if your Design is not chosen for print by Threadless.com, you are free to use the Design for any commercial or non-commercial purpose. However if your Design is used elsewhere, you must notify Threadless.com by email art@threadless.com about where and when the Design will be used, so that it can be removed from the Threadless.com website at that time.
So if your shirt hasn't made the Threadless grade, then as long as you notify them that you wish to remove it then you're good to go with Bountee.
In fact, you can publish whatever you like through us - and even submit it to Threadless (or the myriad of other similar sites) again as well if that's your fancy? :)
Because these are your designs - so you are really free to do whatever you want :)
Hope this helps clarify things a little? Can't wait to see your designs.

Inspiration: Type
It's a busy Friday here at Bountee Towers - but we've always got time for a little browse.
Today's little, lovely piece of (anti)inspiration is TRAJAN IS THE MOVIE FONT from Goodiebag.tv.
I guess it's like the use of Skulls and Stars in T-shirt design these days :)
(Not that there's anything wrong with that of course)

Inspiration
We seem to spend most of our days browsing the web for new artwork, shirt sites and general inspiration for stuff these days (I blame Johnny Martz :-p).
And here, fresh from another great blog (kottke.org) is the site that's made us chuckle louder than most today.
It's the digital home of one Russel Weekes.
Wonderful, wonderful stuff.
(His videos ain't 'alf bad either")

Xmas Shipping Dates!
Hi All,
This is a special message to say that the Christmas delivery dates for shirts are fast coming to their end.
For International shipping (e.g. non USA mainland) you have until 12:00am on the 11th of December to place your order.
For all USA mainland orders you have until the 19th of December.
So if you want that special, personal gift for your t-shirt adoring loved ones, you have very, very little time left.
Wicked Vector Examples

So here's the deal. We don't personally dig the whole stock, use our vector artwork to create your 'original' custom t-shirt vibe that you see on other sites.
But if you are desperate for inspiration, and you were to hunt around a little on the Internets you could do a lot worse than borrow a few design elements from the wonderful collections over at the Crivablog.
It's the blog of the nicely talented Criva - whose work you can see on his Flickr stream.
Anyone else got any decent examples of free, vector stuff?

Pay Day: October 21st to November 20th

Another great Pay Day then for the designers on Bountee :)

This payment was for the dates of October 21st to November 20th 2007. The next payment should be from November 21st to December 20th and will be paid as soon as our New Years hangovers have cleared enough to see the lines in the spreadsheet properly.
