In Print
It's always a great experience - seeing something that you've worked so hard on get highlighted elsewhere. And I know the Internet is the driving force for everything these days, but it's still exciting to see your work within the glossy pages of a magazine.
So congrats to sireuan on getting his shirts highlighted within this month's X360 magazine.
And err, if you look carefully - or better yet go out and buy your own copy - you might find a little discount code in there :)

Today - We Begin!
So this week we see the beginnings of the next phase of Bountee development - and we have a tonne of new features/plans to share over the coming months.
The reason we can start working in earnest is simply down to one thing - we are now in a position to welcome on board to the Bountee team our first, full-time member of staff. Simon take a bow.
Simon will be joining Gideon [design] and myself [errm... bottle-washer] to work on the back-end development full-time and it's entirely his job to take us into the next generation and beyond.
This genuinely is the start of something amazing for all of us here so I hope you'll keep checking back to see the massive changes that we hope to bring over the coming weeks/months.
And if you have ANY ideas at all for Bountee please feel free to post them over at the Bountee Board. We really, really value your input.
This is your site after all.

Love & Dedication
This is a little something from bountee member Joke-art that I think we can all appreciate.
For those who have an interest in producing vector artwork but don't really understand the 'inner workings' of it all then I think this really should be an eye-opener.
And for the rest of us who labour day-after-day in illustrator, inkscape or lineform then I think we can all just sit back and appreciate the artistry.
And the great news - it's available as a shirt right here.

T-Shirt Universe

If you travel from machine to computer to machine as much as we do then you've probably got a netvibes page set up as your homepage like us.
They released a new version of their site yesterday - and it rocks the big one! It also allows people to publish their own pages as a 'universe' - basically a big page of links and stuff. So we thought we'd share ours with you...
We've taken it upon ourselves to offer pages of t-shirt related goodness for Bountee (of course) but also from our favourite sites such as Threadless, Oddica and the pick of the t-shirt related blogs out there; including sites like hideyourarms, t-critic, t-shirt island and t-shirt review.
We find it useful - so we figured it might be worth a share.
What do you think?

Plugging into Bountee - the future?
So it's about time we offered you all a little update...
We've had a lot of work going on behind the scenes over these past few weeks - well, since before Christmas really and I am aware that a lot of people are interested in the future direction of Bountee. I think now would be a great opportunity to begin talking about the future, and just how we see Bountee developing.
Firstly, it's a little-known fact that Bountee is ran part-time by a team of three - and the label 'beta' on the top corner of our site is very much meant in that vein; we're not just following the typical web-two-oh! crowd :)
But soon all of that is about to change.
Next week, we see our first, full-time employee start working on nothing else but Bountee, technical development. This is a great thing for two reasons:
1 - It means that Bountee will become more stable and usable as a t-shirt design platform.
2 - It means that we can really begin with our plans for world, custom/bespoke design domination (really!).
So what does this mean?
Well, for starters over the coming weeks and months - as more of us quit our day jobs, and bet the house on this little baby of ours - we will bring renewed and much requested focus to the site. We are aware the you all deserve as much love and attention as we can offer you :)
It also means that we can really start thinking about offering other services to those of you who have requested such things as your own stores, wholesale/bulk shirt ordering and an open API to enable you to plug your own, existing stores into the Bountee Design Tool and our store process.
We'll aim to update you far more frequently on developments, and please keep your eye out on the blog for future news; especially if you would be interested in helping us in shaping the future of a site which we genuinely think of as all of ours!
Thanks for all of your support over the past 8 months - without you we are genuinely nothing - it's been a wonderful, humbling experience.
Now - time to get back to work... :)
