Design & Creation
Terms and Conditions (or how not to get into trouble with 'The Man')
We're all designers ourselves here at Bountee, so it's important to us that we produce a site that enables you - our peers - to produce quality work in return for quality product and service.
So please read through the T's & C's below - and if you have any comments, questions, suggestions or queries please feel free to contact us.
THE BOUNTEE.COM TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
Clothing creation & submission
If you submit an illustration, artwork design or a text-tee slogan for the purposes of display and purchase within Bountee.com then by doing so you agree to the conditions within this page.
By submitting a design you are also agreeing to Bountee.com producing printed garments of your submission upon your behalf.
Copyright
ALL copyright to the artwork submitted belongs to the creator [you] and as such you are free to use your own artwork in any context that you see fit - even printed Knickers. There are no restrictions for YOUR work within Bountee.com. We just appreciate you taking the time and trouble to make it available through our little ol' service.
Where Bountee.com makes the intended products (i.e. Tee-shirts), produced using your artwork, available through other commercial avenues; i.e. within the context of a proper, bricks and mortar, commercial/retail establishment (with windows and everything!) or upon another website; and where a separate commercial agreement with you the content creator is not in place, then Bountee.com will make every effort imaginable to maintain the rate of commission that you as the creator of that product first established. We assure you that you will be contacted about this extended use of your product in advance, and if you object to your products being made available in such a way (or we can't get hold of you) - then we will of course, not use them (sob).
Design
Any slogan/text, illustration, photo or artwork submitted for use or sale upon a Bountee.com T-shirt must be YOUR [the participant's] own original creation and may not have been previously used or published by any other party other than that of the person making the submission; and this design must not be available to purchase on any other site or within any other establishment where the terms and conditions of those sites or establishments restrict it's re-use.
In other words, be original and be creative.
The design must not contain any trademarks, logos, copyrighted works or intellectual property of any third parties, or indeed any material which Bountee.com or presumed third parties may consider to be profane, offensive or in any way harmful.
Bountee.com reserves the right to remove at any time such material from offer within the store; to ban outright users who have made such material available using the Bountee.com website; and any revenue or monies earned through the sale of such items will be held with Bountee.com until a suitable outcome can be determined. If a design has been referred to our staff for investigation you agree to having the query (and such interested parties) referred to you directly. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you agree to Bountee.com, Bountee Ltd or any parties or individuals directly associated with the company NOT being liable for any claims - financial or otherwise - which arise from such contact.
Any and all decisions by Bountee.com are final.
Continued use of Artwork
This one is important; PLEASE READ.
Bountee.com may from time to time choose to use the artwork submitted by you in marketing promotions. These promotions may take the form of such things as postcard/pin badges which are made available within the packaging of garments sold, use of your imagery within advertising (both offline and online) and similar clever plans which our clever marketing bods haven't yet remembered to jot down after one of their 'brainstorm lunches'.
Bountee.com promise - where possible - that an artwork contributor will receive full credit for any artwork used; including URL of the artwork in question at all times. It's all about those sales after all - right?
Quite simply - if we can't contact you, or we do make contact and you tell us to 'go sit on it' then we won't even consider using your work for such a purpose. We'd like to think that you'd fancy helping us out in return for the exposure - but we understand that sometimes this really isn't the done thing.
Intellectual Property Rights (IP)
Bountee.com is based around content produced by its peers and uses a complicated, automated system made available via the Internet and held together with various bits and bytes too numerous to detail. We at Bountee.com have made all steps possible towards respecting and maintaining an individual's copyright but because this system is automated and built by humans, it is important to be aware that humans do make mistakes. Yes - even us!
That said however, any user who has submitted a design or slogan for use within Bountee.com has agreed to our terms and conditions and we explicitly prohibit our users from making designs available that may inflict in any way upon a third parties intellectual property rights. We actively encourage any owners of such IP to report the design using the freely available form on each design page, or should they wish using the contact form.
Upon investigation by Bountee.com; if a user is deemed to have submitted a design or slogan that is regarded as infringing upon a third party IP, then Bountee.com will remove the design from the site; and any revenue or monies earned through the sale of such items will be held with Bountee.com until a suitable outcome can be determined by all interested/affected parties.
Bountee.com, Bountee Ltd - or any directly associated party - does not accept liability for any additional claims or disputes (financial or otherwise) from designs submitted via its service outlined above.
That was the scary bit over - we promise.
So thanks for listening...
And thanks for your interest in Bountee - we can't begin to describe how humbling it is to know that people are using - and enjoying - our little ol' website!
